(ST. JOHN'S, N.L.) - The UPEI Panthers took control in the second quarter on their way to a 78-60 win over the Memorial Sea-Hawks in AUS women's basketball on Sunday.
Danielle MacDonald led the way in the win for the Panthers with a game-high 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the floor. Darcy Zinck added 16 points for UPEI.
Sandra Amoah had a team-high 18 points while pulling down 14 rebounds for Memorial in the loss.
The Panthers improved to 9-10 on the season with the win. The Sea-Hawks are now 9-9 on the season.
UPEI will finish their regular season with a four-point game versus StFX on Friday before playing host to the 2014 Subway AUS women's basketball championship March 7-9.
Memorial will finish their regular season next weekend on the road against the undefeated Saint Mary's Huskies.
