(ST. JOHN'S, N.L.) - Sydney Stewart's driving layup, and subsequent foul shot, with 10 seconds to go in overtime propelled Memorial to a 67-65 victory over the visiting Cape Breton Capers on Sunday.

The game was pushed to overtime after Memorial point guard Megan Robinson tied the game on a three-pointer with twenty-seven seconds remaining in regulation.

Stewart finished with a season-high 17 points off the bench to lead Memorial. Sandra Amoah added 17 points and 12 rebounds in the win.

Allison Keough led the Capers with 17 points and 13 rebounds in the loss while Tanira McClurkin had 15 points and five steals. Three Capers fouled out in the game.

The win improved the Sea-Hawks to 7-7 while the Capers fell to 7-8 with the loss.

Memorial will travel to Dalhousie for a pair of four-point games next weekend.

The Capers will host the St. Francis Xavier X-Women this Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m.
