Capers remain undefeated through second week of AUS play

(HALIFAX, N.S.) The six-time defending AUS champion Cape Breton Capers remain undefeated following a 3-1 win over the STFX X-Men Saturday in Sydney, N.S.

Second-year midfielder Max Piepgrass was named Player of the Game after scoring the Capers' third goal. 

The UNB REDS took down the Memorial Sea-Hawks 1-0 Friday at home to improve to 2-1-0 and second place in the conference standings. Senior striker Keji Adeniyi earned Player of the Game nods with the game-winning goal for UNB. He now sits second in conference scoring with two goals and an assist in just three games played. 

After opening their season with two home wins last weekend, the Sea-Hawks lost both their road games in New Brunswick in week 2 and slipping into third place. 

The STFX X-Men, now sitting in fourth, split their weekend games, topping the Saint Mary's Huskies 2-1 at home Sunday after falling to Cape Breton Saturday. Senior midfielder Kyle Cordeiro earned Player of the Game honours Sunday with the game-winning goal for the X-Men.
