Capers remain undefeated to clinch first round bye

The Cape Breton Capers remain undefeated on the season and clinch a first round bye in the playoffs after earning a weekend sweep. The Capers blanked their rivals, the StFX X-Men 3-0 on Friday evening, then went on to top the Mount Allison Mounties 6-1 on Sunday afternoon.

The Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleus also earned a weekend sweep to help them rise up the standings. The Aigles Bleus topped the Saint Mary's Huskies 2-1 on Friday evening, then blanked the Memorial Sea-Hawks 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The Dalhousie Tigers fell 4-0 to the Acadia Axemen on Friday night, but bounced back Sunday afternoon to earn a 2-0 win over the UPEI Panthers.

After falling to the Aigles Bleus on Friday, the Huskies bounced back in a huge way, earning a 11-2 victory over the Mounties on Saturday. Alex Black had six goals in the match to lead the Huskies, while teammate Tyler Dorey earned a hat-trick.

The UNB Reds hosted the Sea-Hawks on Saturday, earning a convincing 6-0 win, while the Panthers and Axemen played to a 2-2 draw.
