With a 6-0 shutout over the Saint Mary's Huskies on Friday night, and handing the Tigers their first loss of the season with a 2-0 win on Sunday, the Cape Breton Capers remain undefeated, extending their season record to 7-0-2.
The UNB Reds won their fifth consecutive game Friday, beating the Acadia Axemen 2-0, in Wolfville. The Axemen fell to a 2-0 deficit late in the second half when Tristan Nkoghe tapped the ball into a wide-open net off a well-placed pass from teammate Alex O'Brien.
In Saturday afternoon action, the Tigers impressed with a 4-0 shutout victory over the StFX X-Men at Oland Stadium, while the Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleus handed the Mount Allison Mounties a 3-0 loss.
Sunday afternoon, the Reds and Huskies played to a 0-0 draw, with Huskies goaltender Jensen Brown being named Subway Player of the Game after making nine saves on the day.
The X-Men visited the Panthers on Sunday afternoon, earning a 3-0 shutout victory, while the Axemen earned a 2-1 win over the Aigles Bleus as Gordon McLaughlin scored his second tally of the day with under two minutes remaining in regulation for the win.
