The Dalhousie Tigers defeated the Brock Badgers 68-51 Friday night in the fourth and final quarterfinal matchup at the 2024 GreenShield U SPORTS Final 8 Men's Basketball Championshps, presented by Michelob Ultra at the Laval University PEPS, in Quebec City.

From the opening moments of the game, the AUS champions left no doubt on their intentions by taking a comfortable 14-point lead at the end of the first quarter. The gap only increased before the halftime break with the Tigers returning to the locker room with a commanding 40-13 lead.

The day after his nomination on the All-Canadian First Team, Malcolm Christie was a Tiger on fire against Brock, scoring 26 points and adding seven rebounds (all defensive) along with five three-point shots.

After a spectacular journey through the OUA playoffs, the Badgers will have to wait another year before adding a third national title to their program's trophy case. Andrew McKenna offered the best performance for the losing side with 12 points.

The Dalhousie Tigers will now face the Laval Rouge et Or Saturday night at 8 p.m. (ET) in the second semifinal in Quebec City. The host completed a major upset by upending the top-seeded Victoria Vikes earlier Friday evening.
