AUS Women's Soccer Weekly Round Up: Week 7

Friday, Oct. 27

Moncton 0 vs. Memorial 3 (Box Score)
(ST. JOHN'S, N.L.) The Memorial Sea-Hawks blanked the Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleues Friday night, earning a 3-0 victory. Jessie Noseworthy opened the scoring at the 32 minute mark of the first half, with teammate Nicole Torraville adding a second goal just six minutes later to give the Sea-Hawks a 2-0 edge. Noseworthy scored her second of the night at the 72 minute mark to deliver the final 3-0 blow.

StFX 0 vs. Acadia 2 (Box Score)
(WOLFVILLE, N.S.) The Axewomen soccer team put a strong game together and handed the visiting StFX X-Women a 2-0 loss, with all goals coming in the opening half. Read more: Recap

(ST. JOHN'S, N.L.) The Memorial Sea-Hawks hosted the Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleues for the second time this weekend on Saturday afternoon. The Sea-Hawks walked away with another victory, as Holly O'Neill and Jessie Noseworthy got on the scoreboard for Memorial, to give them a 2-0 win. 

UNB 3 vs. Mount Allison 0 (Box Score)
(SACKVILLE, N.B.) The UNB Varsity Reds earned a win over the Mount Allison Mounties in Sackville on Saturday. Mackenzie Sinclair put the Varsity Reds on the board early into the opening frame, followed by a second UNB goal just nine minutes later from Jelisa Joncas. UNB's Abby Sullivan netted the third goal to allow the Varsity Reds to walk away with the 3-0 victory.

Cape Breton 2 vs. Dalhousie 2 (Box Score
(HALIFAX, N.S.) In AUS women's soccer action at Wickwire Field, the Dalhousie Tigers and Cape Breton Capers played to a 2-2 draw after hard play and plenty of chances for both teams. Read more: Recap

(WOLFVILLE, N.S.) The Axewomen soccer team concluded the 2017 regular season with a 3-1 win against the visiting UPEI Panthers. Acadia improves to 7-3-2 and third place in the standings, while the Panthers drop to 4-6-1. Read more: Recap

Cape Breton 9 vs. Saint Mary's 0 (Box Score)
(HALIFAX, N.S.) The Cape Breton University Capers defeated the Saint Mary's Huskies 9-0 in AUS women's soccer action on Sunday afternoon from Huskies Stadium. Keona Simmonds (Brampton, ON) recorded a hat-trick and powered the Capers offence, which came in ranked as the USports No. 4 team in the land. Read more: Recap 

UPEI 0 vs. Dalhousie 2 ( Box Score)
(HALIFAX, N.S.) In the final game for the Dalhousie Tigers regular season, the Tigers faced the UPEI Panthers on Senior Day. After scoring an early goal, the Tigers were able to control the pace of play in the second half an hold on to pick up a 2-0 win. Read more: Recap
