Sea-Hawks sweep the Aigles Bleues 4-0

(ST. JOHN'S, NFLD.) – The Sea-Hawks earned their first victory on home turf with a sweeping 4-0 score over the Moncton Aigles Bleues in AUS women's soccer on Saturday afternoon at King George  V Park.

Memorial was on the scoreboard early in the game after Moncton scored on themselves in the third minute. Thirty minutes in, the Aigles Bleues took a second own goal. 

It was Memorial's top scorer this season, Jessie Noseworthy, that netted Memorial's first earned goal in the 48th minute. Wasting no time, the 2013 most valuable player, Jane Pope, pushed the Sea-Hawks to the 4-0 lead in the 50th minute where they remained the rest of the game. 

Memorial's record improved to 3-3-0 with the win. The Aigles Bleues fell to 0-5-1.

AUS Subway player of the game was midfielder Teri Murphy for the Sea-Hawks. Player of the game for Moncton was keeper Monica Gallant.
