Defending AUS champion Capers shutout Regina in pre-season action

(SYDNEY, N.S.) - The Cape Breton Capers women's soccer team posted a 3-0 victory over the visiting Regina Rams in CIS pre-season action Saturday at the Cape Breton Health Recreation Complex on the CBU campus.

Chelsea Currie, Shanice Maxwell and 2013 AUS Most Valuable Player Karolyne Blain all scored first half goals for the Capers.

Tiffany O'Donnell and Lizzie Trottier split the game in the Capers goal to record the shutout.

The defending AUS champion Capers will open the 2014 regular season this Sunday when they host the Saint Mary's Huskies in a 1 p.m. start.
