Tigers win Scholz meet combined

(WOLFVILLEm N.S.) The 14th Jack Scholz AUS Invitational Swim Meet concluded with the Dalhousie Tigers finishing first overall in the men?s and women?s rankings followed by the host Acadia Axewomen and Axemen.

Dalhousie won the women?s event with 833 points overall, while the Axewomen finished with 445 in second place. Memorial rounded out the top three teams with 312 points. UNB was fourth, while the Mounties finished fifth.

To cap off the event with the 400m freestyle relay, Dalhousie finished top spot, with Acadia and Memorial rounding out the podium.

The Tigers also won the men?s event with 784 points, trailed by the host Axemen with 444.5. Memorial finished third again, with 321. The Reds and Mounties also finished fourth and fifth respectively.

To end the weekend, Memorial won the 400m freestyle relay, with Acadia finishing second and Dal taking third.

In session one Dalhousie captured 11 first-place finishes, followed by Acadia?s four and Memorial?s one.

On Sunday in session two, Dalhousie captured 10 first-place finishes, while Acadia and Memorial each won four.

Next on the AUS swimming schedule Amby Legere Invitational hosted by the UNB Reds on November 4-5 in Fredericton.
