Offensive Player of the Week
Name: Silas Fagnan

STFX X-Men quarterback Silas Fagnan is the Atlantic University Sport Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 5, 2023.
The fifth-year Human Kinetics student in his third year of eligibility led his team to a 36-20 victory over the SMU Huskies in Saturday's AUS semi-final. He was named Player of the Game after throwing for 362 yards and four touchdowns (24, 40, 69 and 3 yards) while also rushing for 72 yards on eight carries.
Fagnan's performance has lifted his X-Men to the AUS Loney Bowl this Saturday where they will host Bishop's University at 2 p.m.
Defensive Player of the Week
Name: Mathieu Dery

Position: Defensive Back

Year of eligibility: First
Academic program: Humanities
Height and weight: 6'3", 186lbs
Bishop's Gaiters defensive back Mathieu Dery is the Atlantic University Sport Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 5, 2023.
The freshman from Lac-Beauport, QC rose to the occasion in Saturday's 34-15 AUS semi-final win over the Mount Allison Mounties, returning an interception 34 yards for a touchdown.
Not only was it the second interception returned for a touchdown in less than a minute for the Gaiters, but it gave Bishop's their first lead of the game – a lead they never relinquished. Dery also added three tackles in the victory.
Bishop's will now head to Antigonish, N.S. to take on the host STFX X-Men in the AUS Loney Bowl. Kick off is slated for 2 p.m.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Name: Ben Harrington

Position: Returner/receiver
Hometown: Dartmouth, N.S.
Year of eligibility: Third
Academic program: BBA
Height and weight: 6'2", 181 lbs
STFX X-Men returner/receiver Ben Harrington is the Atlantic University Sport Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 5, 2023.
The Dartmouth, N.S. product had a productive day on special teams, as he collected a combined 76 yards on five punt returns (15.2 yard average) – including a big return of 31 yards to give his team good field position. On kick returns, Harrington recorded 56 yards on three kickoffs (18.7 yard average).
Harrington's X-Men will now play for their third straight AUS title as they host Bishop's University on Saturday in the Loney Bowl. Kick off is set for 2 p.m.
