Huskies spoil Gaiters home opener 
 

(SHERBROOKE, QUE.) Saint Mary's quarterback Kaleb Scott ran for two touchdowns and passed for another as the Huskies spoiled the Bishop's Gaiters home opener by a final of 42-19. 

Saturday's loss dropped the Gaiters to 0-2 in the AUS, while the Huskies improve to 2-0.   

Gaiters Game Highlights: 

The Gaiters scored the first touchdown of the game thanks to a 32-yard pass from Mathieu Demers to receiver Nathan Walker who out-muscled a Huskies' defender to make the game 8-3 in the first quarter.  Scott then took control over the 2nd and 3rd quarter leading the Huskies to four touchdowns and one field goal. The fourth quarter saw the teams' trade pick-sixes. Huskies' Jordan Angove had a 53-yard return while the Gaiters' Nicholas Cartagenise took an pick back 82 yards.

The Gaiters will face off against the Acadia Axeman on Saturday September 8th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. on Coulter field.
