Wesley-Ann Bailey of the Acadia Axewomen volleyball team is the Atlantic University Sport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 19, 2023.
Bailey, a Political Science and Psychology student from Ottawa, led Acadia to a pair of wins this past weekend, beating the UNB Reds 3-2 on both Friday and Saturday night.
The fourth-year middle finished the weekend with an impressive nine blocks and 13 block assists to go along with 22 kills and three service aces.
Bailey leads the AUS in solo blocks with 22 and is fifth in points with 86.5.

University: St. Francis Xavier University
Sport: Men’s Hockey
Position: Forward
Hometown: Antigonish, NS
Year of eligibility: Third
Academic program: BBA
Jacob Hudson of the STFX X-Men hockey team is the Atlantic University Sport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 19, 2023.
After assisting on the overtime-winner earlier in the week against Dalhousie, the fourth-year Business student in his third year of eligibility exploded for four goals of his own in the X-Men’s 5-3 victory over UPEI.
The product of Antigonish, N.S. now sits tied for first in the AUS in goals scored with 12 with Dalhousie’s Alec Belanger and UPEI’s Kaleb Pearson.
