(HALIFAX, N.S.) Kiera Rigby of the UPEI Panthers women's basketball team and Tyler Immel-Herron of the Dalhousie Tigers men's swim team have been named the Subway AUS Athletes of the Week for their respective performances for this past week.

Kiera Rigby of the UPEI Panthers women’s basketball team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Jan. 21, 2018.
A fifth-year forward from Charlottetown, P.E.I., Rigby led the Panthers to two weekend wins over the Dalhousie Tigers and the U SPORTS no. 1-ranked Acadia Axewomen.
Friday night, UPEI topped Dalhousie 84-69 in Halifax. Rigby posted a game-high 30 points in the win, along with four steals, two assists and a block. She was named Subway Player of the Game for her efforts.
The Panthers went on to down the top nationally ranked Axewomen by a score of 88-68 Saturday in Wolfville, N.S. Rigby earned Subway Player of the Game nods for a second consecutive night after posting a game-high 25 points in the win. She also had five rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks.
She is currently leading the Atlantic conference in scoring, averaging 18.4 points per game.

Tyler Immel-Herron of the Dalhousie Tigers men’s swimming team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Jan. 21, 2018.
A third-year biology student from Peterborough, Ont., Immel-Herron led the Tigers to a team win at the Dalhousie Invitational swim meet over the weekend.
The U SPORTS-qualifier won all four of his events. On Saturday, he came from behind on the last length to win the 200m freestyle event and led the pack from the start in his 1500m freestyle victory.
Sunday, he led both the 400m freestyle and 400m IM events from start to finish, claiming first in both events.
