Dalhousie's Wilson and StFX's Donald named Subway AUS Athletes of the Week

(HALIFAX, N.S.) - Colleen Wilson of the Dalhousie Tigers women's cross country team and Scott Donald of the StFX X-Men cross country team have been named the Subway AUS Athletes of the Week for their respective performances for this past week.

Sport: Women’s Cross Country
Hometown: Ancaster, Ont.
Year of eligibility: Fifth
Academic program: Oceanography

Colleen Wilson of the Dalhousie Tigers women’s cross country team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 25, 2016.

In Saturday’s Université de Moncton Cross Country Classic invitational meet, the fifth-year from Ancaster, Ont. claimed individual gold in her second consecutive AUS race.

Wilson also led the Tigers to their second consecutive team win in as many weekends. She completed the course in a time of 22:43.70, more than 45 seconds ahead of the next AUS competitor.

Scott Donald of the St. Francis Xavier X-Men cross country team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 25, 2016.

A fifth-year human kinetics student from Ottawa, Ont., Donald raced to his second consecutive individual first-place performance on Saturday as he won the Moncton invitational 8km race.

His time of 26:08.30 also helped the X-Men to their second consecutive first-place team showing in as many races this season.
