In Week 4 of AUS women's soccer action, the Cape Breton Capers earned their fifth-straight win with a victory over the Acadia Axewomen, while the Dalhousie Tigers earned a weekend sweep to move into second in the standings.

Makenna Bowser's goal at the 44th minute of the match gave the U SPORTS No. 9 ranked Cape Breton Capers a 1-0 win over the No. 8 Acadia Axewomen. Bowser's goal came from a header on a corner kick late in the opening half. Bowser led the Capers with three shots. Haley Kardas made two saves in net for the Capers to earn the shutout victory.

The Tigers have moved up the AUS standings after earning back-to-back victories, first blanking the Mount Allison Mounties 1-0 Friday night. Both teams struggled to find a rhythm in the first half, which resulted in very few offensive build-ups. The start of the second half saw the Tigers come out hungry and get on the board as Zoe Brown found the back of the net off a scramble play inside the Mounties box. Emily Toth made a save in net for Dalhousie to earn the shutout.

The Tigers then hosted the Axewomen in Halifax Sunday afternoon, edging the visitors 2-1. Elise Evans and Alyson Bodner found the back of the net in the win, while Madyson Harris scored the lone goal for Acadia in the loss. Dalhousie's Bodner was named the Subway Player of the Game after scoring the winning goal for the Tigers.

The StFX X-Women traveled to St. John's this weekend to take on the Memorial Sea-Hawks. The X-Women improved to 4-1-0 on the season with a 3-0 shutout victory over the Sea-Hawks Saturday afternoon. Christina Gentile earned the win in the X net with four saves on the afternoon, while Amanda Smith scored two tallies, and Brynn Jurus scored a goal in the win.

The Sea-Hawks bounced back Sunday afternoon, defeating the X-Women 2-1. Kate Hickey and Claire Kean recorded tallies for Memorial in the win, while Smith scored her third goal of the weekend for StFX. Memorial's Sarah Jones was named the Subway Player of the Game honours for her outstanding efforts.

The UNB Reds got a pair of goals from second-year striker Heidi Lauwerijssen in a 2-2 draw with the Saint Mary's Huskies Saturday afternoon at UNB's BMO Centre. Julia Pasma and Anelise made it onto the scoreboard for the Huskies, while Grace Morrison made three saves for Saint Mary's, and Brynn Nash made six saves for UNB in the draw.

The Reds then played to another draw Sunday afternoon, tying the UPEI Panthers 0-0.

The Huskies edged the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues 3-1 Sunday afternoon. Allie Martin, Anelise Karakostas and Anna Pancura all recorded tallies in the win, while Zoe Brockbank scored the lone goal for Moncton in the loss.
