(HALIFAX, N.S.) The Moncton Aigles Bleues battled from behind to defeat Dalhousie 3-2 in overtime and sweep the Tigers 2-0 in the quarterfinal series.

After a scoreless first period, Dalhousie's Emma Robertson opened the scoring 5:50 into the second period with assists coming from Leah MacSween and Mollie Power.

MacSween added to the Tigers' lead five minutes later (assisted by Emma Silvernagle and Emma Penner).

On the power play at 16:55, Maritza Labrie (from Shani Rossignol and Arianne Roy) put Moncton on the board and the Aigles Bleues headed into the third period down one.

Labrie was the hero once again, netting the equaliser unassisted with just under four minutes remaining in regulation to force overtime.

It just took just over five minutes for Moncton's Laura Tremblay (from Labrie) to net the overtime winner, eliminating the Tigers and sending the Aigles Bleues to the playoff semifinals.

Moncton's Annick Boudreau made 24 saves in net for the Aigles Bleues, while Dalhousie's Grace Beer made 29 saves in the loss.

Labrie was named player of the game for her efforts.

The Aigles Bleues now advance to face the top-ranked and three-time defending champion UNB REDS in a best-of-five semifinal series.
