(MONCTON, N.B.) - Olivia Doughart scored twice to lead the UPEI Panthers (5-6-0) to a 3-1 win over the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (4-7-1), in Atlantic University Sport women's hockey action at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Doughart's first goal broke a 1-1 tie and proved to be the game-winner in the second period.

Her second was an insurance goal, late in the third period on an empty net as Moncton had replaced its goaltender with an extra attacker.

Ferran Brown had UPEI's first goal in the second period.

Moncton's Kaitlyn Gallaway, on the power-play, gave the Aigles Bleus a 1-0 lead at the halfway mark of the first period with assists going to Karine Roy and Manon Lamarre.

The Panthers had a 12-4 advantage on shots in the second and 10-7 in the third.

The visitors were up 27-23 in total for the game. Gabrielle Forget registered the loss and Marie-Soleil Deschênes picked up the win in nets.

The Aigles Bleues will play their final regular season game of this semester when they visit the StFX X-Women Friday, Nov. 29 in Antigonish. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.

The Panthers will visit the Saint Mary's Huskies in Halifax that same night for their second last game of the fall term, also at 7 p.m.
