(HALIFAX, N.S.) - Dalhousie hosted the Saint Mary's Huskies Friday night. The Tigers started off strong, beating the Huskies, who currently sit higher in the standings, to the puck.

Early in the first period, Fielding Montgomery put the Tigers on the board off a shot from Megan Ross. The Tigers were able to keep their lead throughout the first period.

Halfway through the second period, Saint Mary's Kaylan Palsat's shot saw the back of the net, tying up the game.

A minute into the third period, Tiger Lisa MacLean scored a power play goal, that would end up being the game winner.

Although the Huskies outshot the Tigers, 42-19, Dal played a smart offensive game. The Tigers' goalie, Jeanne Morin, made an impressive 41 saves.

The Tigers will play StFX Saturday evening at 7 p.m. Saint Mary's will host the Mount Allison Mounties Sunday at 2 p.m.
