Name: Caleb Fogarty

STFX running back Caleb Fogarty is the Atlantic University Sport Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 27, 2024.
In an important game to determine the No. 2 seed and earn home field advantage, the Business student from Moncton, N.B., stepped up with the best game of his AUS career, rushing for 188 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries as his X-Men defeated the Saint Mary’s Huskies 26-19 on Saturday.
Fogarty’s X-Men will now host Saint Mary’s in the AUS semifinal this Saturday to see who will move on to the Loney Bowl. Game time is slated for 2 p.m. ADT.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Name: Jet Agette
University: Mount Allison University
Position: Defensive Back
Hometown: Ottawa, Ont.
Year of eligibility: Fourth
Academic program: Sociology
Height and weight: 5’11, 180 lbs.
Mount Allison defensive back Jet Agette is the Atlantic University Sport Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 27, 2024.
The Sociology student from Ottawa, Ont., played hard in his team’s final game of the season recording four tackles, an interception and a forced fumble in their tough 51-14 loss to the Bishop’s Gaiters this past weekend.
Agette finished third in the AUS regular season in pass breakups with eight.
The Mounties finished in fifth place and out of the playoffs.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Name: Xavier Gervais
University: Bishop’s
Position: Kicker
Hometown: Ottawa, Ont.
Year of eligibility: Fifth
Academic program: Sports Studies
Height and weight: 6’1, 205 lbs.
Bishop’s University kicker Xavier Gervais is the Atlantic University Sport Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 27, 2024.
The fifth-year kicker from Ottawa helped his Gaiters cap off a perfect regular season this past weekend, beating Mount Allison 51-14.
Gervais was 6-for-6 in extra point attempts and made good on his only field goal attempt – a 37-yard boot early in the fourth quarter.
He also averaged 33.8 yards on his four punts and kicked off seven times for a combined 380 yards.
Gervais and his Gaiters will now turn their attention to the AUS football semifinal on Saturday where they will host the Acadia Axemen. Game time is 2 p.m. EST.
