Bishop's Gaiters running back David Chaloux is the Atlantic University Sport Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 10, 2024.
Chaloux was named the Loney Bowl Most Valuable Player on Saturday as the Bishop's Gaiters earned their first-ever Jewett Trophy in a thrilling 25-22 triple overtime victory over the Saint Mary's Huskies. Chaloux rushed 20 times for 160 yards and had the Gaiters' lone touchdown off an impressive 57-yard run.
Bishop's now hosts the Uteck Bowl and the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 12 p.m. EST.
Defensive Player of the Week

Bishop's Gaiters linebacker Gabriel Royer is the Atlantic University Sport Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 10, 2024.
The fourth-year sports studies major from Lawrenceville, Que. forced a fumble with 16 seconds left in the game, the Gaiters trailing by three and no timeouts remaining. That set up a field goal to force overtime and the Gaiters went on to win their first-ever Loney Bowl 25-22 in triple overtime over the Saint Mary's Huskies.
Royer finished with eight tackles, half a sack, 1.5 tackles for loss and the game-changing forced fumble.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Name: Xavier Gervais
University: Bishop's University
Position: Kicker/Quarterback
Hometown: Ottawa, Ont.
Year of eligibility: Fourth
Academic program: Sports Studies
Height and weight: 6'1", 205 lbs
Bishop's Gaiters kicker Xavier Gervais is the Atlantic University Sport Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 10, 2024.
The fourth-year sports studies major was a perfect 6-for-6 on field goals, including a 25-yarder in triple overtime, and made good on his lone extra point attempt for the Gaiters.
Gervais accounted for 19 of Bishop's 25 points including three field goals in extra time with the title on the line.
His stats also included 10 punts for 319 yards, including one inside the 20-yard line, as well as two kickoffs for 92 yards.
