Offensive Player of the Week
Name: Malcolm Bussey
University: St. Francis Xavier University
Position: Running Back
Hometown: Hammonds Plains, N.S.
Year of eligibility: Third
Academic program: BA
Height and weight: 5'11", 197 lbs.

STFX X-Men running back Malcolm Bussey is the Atlantic University Sport Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 29, 2023.

The product of Hammonds Plains, N.S. had an exceptional night running the ball, recording 159 yards in his team's 40-10 victory over Saint Mary's to crack the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the first time in his AUS career.

Bussey scored twice in the opening quarter (5 yards, 1 yard) before exploding for a 53-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to help seal the win.

Name: Daniel Bell
University: Mount Allison University
Position: Defensive Back
Hometown: Saint John, N.B.
Year of eligibility: Fourth
Academic program: BA
Height and weight: 6'2", 215 lbs.

Mount Allison Mounties defensive back Daniel Bell has been named the Atlantic University Sport Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 29, 2023.

The fourth-year DB from Saint John, N.B. registered 7.5 tackles (5 solo, 5 assisted) while also recovering a fumble in his team's 18-8 loss to Bishop's University on Friday night.

Bell's 63 total tackles leads all AUS defenders this season.

Name: Ben Hadley
University: St. Francis Xavier University
Position: Kicker
Hometown: Halifax, N.S.
Year of eligibility: Fourth
Academic program: BBA
Height and weight: 6'1", 190 lbs

STFX X-Men kicker Ben Hadley is the Atlantic University Sport Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 29, 2023.

Hadley was perfect in his team's 40-10 victory over Saint Mary's University, connecting on three field goals (18, 25, 32 yards) and four extra points.

His fourth-quarter field goal was his 24th of the year, breaking the AUS single season record for field goals made. Hadley surpasses Justin Palardy's mark of 23 set in 2009 while a member of the SMU Huskies.
