On the women’s side, Friday’s results saw the STFX X-Women improve to 3-0, while the defending champion UNB REDS improved to 2-0. The Dalhousie Tigers rank third with a 1-1 record, while the Mount Allison Mounties (0-3) and Saint Mary’s Huskies (0-2) are still looking for their first win of the tournament.

MTA vs. DAL
Final Score: 7-1 DAL (7 Ends)
The Dalhousie Tigers (1-0) opened their tournament with a convincing 7-1 win over the Mount Allison Mounties (0-2). The Tigers opened up 5-0 lead through four ends, scoring three points in the fourth. Mount Allison stole a point in the fifth end for their lone score of the match, but Dalhousie added two more before the Mounties conceded after the seventh to give the Tigers a 7-1 victory.
SMU vs. STFX
Final Score: 9-3 STFX (7 Ends)
The STFX X-Women improved to 2-0 with a 9-3 win over the Saint Mary’s Huskies. The X-Women opened up a 5-0 lead through three ends, before the Huskies responded with three straight single point ends to cut the lead to 5-3. STFX secured the win in the seventh end, stealing four points to secure the 9-3 win.
Men’s
DAL vs. MUN
Final Score: 7-2 DAL (6 Ends)
The 2024 defending champion Dalhousie Tigers (1-1) bounced back with their first win of the tournament with a 7-2 win over the Memorial Sea-Hawks (1-1). Dalhousie took control early, opening up a 5-0 lead through four ends. Memorial cut into the lead by stealing two points in the fifth, but the Tigers responded by scoring two points in the sixth, forcing the Sea-Hawks to concede after six ends.
SMU vs. STFX
Final Score: 8-4 SMU (8 Ends)
The Saint Mary’s Huskies (1-1) defeated the STFX X-Men (0-2) 8-4. It was a back-and-forth match, as the Huskies scored in each of the first two ends to take a 2-0 lead, but the X-Men responded with a single point in the third and fourth end to tie it 2-2. The Huskies regained the lead with two points in the fifth, but once again the X-Men tied it up with two points in the sixth, tying it at 4-4. Saint Mary’s had a huge seventh end, scoring four points to take the lead for good, as the X-Men conceded after seven ends giving the Huskies an 8-4 victory.
UNB vs. UPEI
Final Score: 5-2 UNB (7 Ends)
The defending champion UNB REDS (2-0) continued their strong play, defeating the UPEI Panthers (1-1) by a score of 5-2. After a scoreless first end, the teams exchanged single points, going into the sixth end tied at 2-2. Once again, the REDS closed the match strong, scoring two points in the sixth and one in the seventh, as the Panthers conceded after seven ends giving the REDS a 5-2 victory.

The UNB REDS (2-0) remain undefeated with a 10-3 win over the Mount Allison Mounties (0-3). The REDS started the match strong, scoring three points in the first and two in the second to open up a 5-0 lead. The Mounties were able to steal three points over the third and fifth end, but the REDS scored three more in the sixth end, with the Mounties conceding the 10-3 final score.
DAL vs. STFX
Final Score: 9-2 STFX (7 Ends)
The STFX X-Women (3-0) remain undefeated with a 9-2 win over the Dalhousie Tigers (1-1). After a scoreless first end, the X-Women scored two points in the second end and three in the third. Dalhousie scored a single point in the fourth and fifth ends to cut the lead to 5-2, but STFX scored four more points, with Dalhousie conceding after seven ends, as the X-Women took the match 9-2.
Men’s
UPEI vs. SMU
Final Score: 7-2 UPEI (6 Ends)
The UPEI Panthers (2-1) defeated the Saint Mary’s Huskies (1-2) by a score of 7-2. After a scoreless first end, UPEI went on a run to open up a 4-0 lead heading into the fifth end. Saint Mary’s responded by stealing two points in the fifth to cut the lead to 4-2, but the Panthers scored three in the sixth, and the Huskies conceded after the sixth with the Panthers taking the match 7-2.
MUN vs. UNB
Final Score: 6-3 MUN (7 Ends)
The Memorial Sea-Hawks improved to 2-1 with a 6-3 win over the UNB REDS. UNB opened the scoring with a single point in the first end, but the Sea-Hawks responded by stealing two points in the second and adding a point in the third. The REDS stole two points in the fourth to tie the score at 3-3, but the Sea-Hawks finished strong, scoring a single point in each of the fifth, sixth and seventh ends, as the REDS conceded the 6-3 final.
STFX vs. DAL
Final Score: 7-4 DAL (7 Ends)
The defending champion Dalhousie Tigers improved to 2-1 with a 7-4 win over the STFX X-Men. After a scoreless first end, the X-Men scored a single point in the second, but the Tigers roared back with six points in the third. The X-Men were able to score three more points to the Tigers one, but it wasn’t enough to comeback as STFX conceded the 7-4 final.
