(FREDERICTON, NB) REDS' captain Payton Hargreaves (Whitby, ON) scored with just four seconds left in overtime, lifting UNB to a thrilling 4-3 win over the Dalhousie Tigers in Atlantic University Sport women's hockey action on Saturday night at UNB's Aitken Centre.
Hargreaves' OT winner was her second goal of the game. She scored the tying goal mid-way through the third period.
Katelyn Scott (Almonte, ON) and Olivia Eustace (Riverview, NB) also scored for UNB.
Dalhousie got goals from Emma Robertson (Halifax, NS), Leah MacSween (Belfountain, ON), and Gabrielle Noordijk (Oakville, ON).
The REDS dominated the shot count, 36-21.
With the win, the REDS maintain top spot in the AUS standings with a 15-3-1-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record, while Dalhousie drops to fourth at 10-5-2-1.
The Tigers will travel to Moncton on Wednesday for a 7:00pm faceoff.
The REDS will head to Charlottetown next Sunday (January 19th) to take on UPEI at 3:00pm.
