ST. JOHN'S - The Acadia Axewomen clinched third in the AUS with a win over the Memorial Sea-Hawks on Friday night.

Memorial struck first with a goal in the sixth minute, but before the half Abby Girard tallied for Acadia to even the game in the 34th minute. 

The game-winning goal came from Grace Longley, who finished a cross by Mya Harnish in the 81st minute.

Milena Ramirez made seven saves in the victory, while Shannon Galway made three in the loss. 

The two teams will face each other once again for their last regular season games tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 20 at 5 p.m.
