(SACKVILLE, NB) Melanie Drost (Nepean, ON) scored three times and Hannah LeClair (Norboro, PE) recorded a nine-save shutout as the UNB REDS picked up a 6-0 win over the Mount Allison Mounties on Saturday night, in Sackville.
Drost scored the opening goal and eventual winner at 7:59 of the first period.
She added two more in the third period.
Katelyn Scott (Almonte, ON), Payton Hargreaves (Whitby, ON), and Raine Murdoch (Sherwood Park, AB), with her first Atlantic University Sport goal, also scored for UNB.
Olivia Eustace (Riverview, NB) and Avery Thurston (Stratford, ON) both had a pair of assists.
With the win, the REDS are now 12-3-1-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) and continue to lead the Atlantic University Sport standings.
The Mounties are 1-15-0-0.
UNB skates back into action next Saturday when they host Saint Mary's. Game time is 7:00pm.
The Mounties skate into the December break. Their next game is January 10th when they host STFX.
