The Memorial Sea-Hawks continued their trend of winning every second game they play, as they defeated the UPEI Panthers 2-0 Friday night.
Zoe Rowe certainly left her mark, as the third-year forward scored both goals to lead her team to their fourth win in seven games.
Both teams were evenly matched for most of the opening half before momentum started to shift Memorial's way. In the 38th minute, Rowe took a touch at the edge of the box and fired a shot wide right for the game's first scoring opportunity.
They were on the attack again four minutes later when Claire Langille shot it through the legs of a Panther defender and into the hands of Claudia Mazzei.
However, the Sea-Hawks (4-2-1) would finally get to the Panthers (2-3-1) in the final minute of the half when Rowe connected on a penalty shot to make it 1-0.
Memorial would strike again in the 53rd minute, putting the game away early. Langille raced up the left side and made a quick move by a UPEI defender before passing it in the penalty area to Rowe, who quickly turned after accepting a pass and fired a shot through the hands of the keeper and in the back of the net.
The Panthers tried to mount a comeback, but the Sea-Hawks defence was stingy and allowed just two shots on goal, neither threatening.
Rowe was named Memorial's Player of the Game, while Sarah Eden earned the honours for UPEI.
UPEI takes on the visiting UNB Reds Sunday afternoon, while Memorial visits the Mount Allison Mounties.
