Mychael Paris of the U SPORTS no. 3 ranked Acadia Axewomen women’s rugby team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending October 3, 2021.

A first-year centre from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Paris was instrumental to the Axewomen’s 65-10 victory over Saint Mary’s on Sunday, scoring two tries and putting up a defensive effort that helped keep the home team Huskies’ scoring low. Her performance also earned her the Subway Player of the Game.

Andrew Peverill of the Saint Mary’s Huskies men's cross country team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending October 3, 2021.

A fourth-year commerce student from Lower Sackville, NS, Peverill was the top male runner at Acadia’s invitational meet on Saturday, completing the 8-kilometre course with a time of 25.58 and helping his Huskies team to a second overall finish. This marks his second race win of the 2021 season—Peverill also took the top spot at St.FX’s invitational in September.
