Grace Hannaford of the Cape Breton CAPERS women’s soccer team has been named the East Coast Lifestyle AUS Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 14, 2025.
A fourth-year midfielder from Enfield, N.S., Hannaford recorded a four-point weekend in a pair of CAPERS victories at home in Sydney, N.S.
On Friday, Cape Breton defeated the visiting Saint Mary’s Huskies 3-0. Hannaford assisted on the opening goal before scoring the CAPERS’ second.
On Sunday, hosting the UPEI Panthers, the CAPERS earned a 2-0 win. Hannaford netted the first and eventual game-winning goal before assisting on Cape Breton’s second tally.

Ben Hashimoto of the Dalhousie Tigers men’s soccer team has been named the East Coast Lifestyle AUS Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 14, 2025.
A third-year midfielder from Charlottetown, P.E.I., Hashimoto was named Player of the Game in the Tigers’ 5-1 win over the Mount Allison Mounties Friday in Sackville, N.B. He scored twice in the victory, tallying Dalhousie’s second and third goals of the match.
On Sunday, Hashimoto added his third goal of the weekend in a narrow 2-1 loss at home to the Saint Mary’s Huskies.
He now sits tied for the league lead in goals with five on the season.
Throughout the 2025-26 season, each East Coast Lifestyle AUS Athlete of the Week will receive a $50 ECL gift card and a signed certificate, courtesy of East Coast Lifestyle and Atlantic University Sport.
