(HALIFAX, N.S.) UPEI Panthers women's hockey goaltender Sarah Forsythe and STFX X-Men basketball guard D.J. Jackson have earned AUS Athlete of the Week honours following their performances this past week.

Sarah Forsythe from the UPEI Panthers women’s hockey team is the Atlantic University Sport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 12, 2025.
A third-year goaltender from Riverview, N.B., Forsythe led the Panthers to two weekend wins on the road against the Moncton Aigles Bleues and Saint Mary’s Huskies.
She made 12 saves Friday evening as UPEI secured a 2-1 victory against the Aigles Bleues.
Saturday, Forsythe was named player of the game after she made 31 saves in an overtime win at Saint Mary’s.

D.J. Jackson from the STFX X-Men basketball team is the Atlantic University Sport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 12, 2025.
A first-year human kinetics student in his third year of eligibility, Jackson was instrumental in two STFX wins this past week over the Dalhousie Tigers.
In a 91-77 win Wednesday in Halifax, Jackson finished with a team-high 22 points, to go along with seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and two blocks.
He was then named player of the game back at home on Friday night as the X-Men downed the Tigers 93-72. Jackson led all scorers with 29 points and added three rebounds, two assists and a block.
He currently sits second in conference scoring and third nationally, averaging 22.9 points per game on the season.
