Dalhousie's Abbi Gaudry and Emma Carrier Clarke, Memorial's Chris Weeks and Moncton's Max Mazerolle named AUS Athletes of the Week

(HALIFAX, N.S.) Dalhousie Tigers swimmer Emma Carrier Clarke and Tigers track and field athlete Abbi Gaudry have been named co-winners of the AUS Female Athlete of the Week award. Memorial Sea-Hawks swimmer Chris Weeks and Moncton Aigles Bleus track and field athlete Max Mazerolle have been named co-winners on the men's side.

Emma Carrier Clarke from the Dalhousie Tigers women’s swim team is the Atlantic University Sport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 23, 2025.

A second-year kinesiology student from Toronto, Ont., Carrier Clarke was named Swimmer of the Meet at the 2025 Bell AUS Swimming Championship hosted by UNB this past weekend in Saint John, N.B.

She won gold and posted a U SPORTS-qualifying time in the 100m freestyle event. She also topped the podium in the 50m, 200m and 400m freestyle events for four individual gold medal finishes.

As part of Dalhousie’s 400m and 800m freestyle relay teams, Carrier Clarke took home two more gold medals. She also earned silver as a member of the Tigers’ 400m medley relay team.

A fourth-year kinesiology student from Windsor Junction, N.S., Gaudry was named meet MVP of the AUS track and field championship hosted by UNB this past weekend in Saint John, N.B.

She topped the podium three times, taking home gold in the women’s 60m hurdles, long jump and pentathlon events.

Chris Weeks from the Memorial Sea-Hawks men’s swim team is the Atlantic University Sport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 23, 2025.

In his second year, from St. John’s, N.L., Weeks was named AUS Swimmer of the Meet at the 2025 Bell AUS Swimming Championship hosted by UNB this past weekend in Saint John, N.B.

Weeks topped the podium, winning gold and posting U SPORTS championship qualifying times in the 50m and 100m butterfly events, as well as the 50m and 100m freestyle events. He also broke his own conference record in the 100m freestyle event, finishing with a time of 47.81.

He took home three bronze medals as a member of the 400m freestyle, 800m freestyle, and 400m medley relay teams.

In addition to his outstanding performance at the AUS championship, Weeks was also recognized as the conference’s Swimmer of the Year in men’s swimming for his efforts throughout the season.

Max Mazerolle from the Aigles Bleus men’s track and field team is the Atlantic University Sport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 23, 2025.

A fourth-year kinesiology student from Cocagne, N.B., Mazerolle was named meet MVP of the AUS track and field championship after winning three gold medals, including the coveted heptathlon gold.

He also topped the podium in the 60m hurdles and the pole vault events.

Mazerolle earned 24 of Moncton’s 45 team points in the championship and set two AUS records—in the heptathlon and the pole vault.

He also set a new Université de Moncton school record in the pole vault of 4.23m.

He has now amassed 11 gold medals at AUS championships—making him the most decorated track and field athlete in school history.

Il a été au sommet des compétitions du 60m haies et du saut à la perche.

Il a mérité 24 des 45 points au classement de son équipe pour la compétition et a établi deux records de SUA pour l'heptathlon et le saut à la perche.

Il a établi le record de l'Université de Moncton au saut à la perche avec 4m23.

Il a maintenant une collection de 11 médailles d'or aux Championnats de SUA, l'athlète le plus décoré de l'histoire de son institution en athlétisme.
