(HALIFAX, N.S.) - Dalhousie Tigers women's track and field athlete Sarah Myatt and Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus men's track and field athlete Alain Doucet have been named the Subway AUS Athletes of the Week for their respective performances for this past week.

Sarah Myatt of the Dalhousie Tigers women’s track and field team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Feb. 26, 2017.
A fifth-year arts student from Fredericton, N.B., Myatt was named the Subway Athlete of the Meet at the Subway AUS Track and Field Championships hosted this past weekend by the Université de Moncton.
Myatt won four goal medals at the championship—in the 600m and 1000m races and as a member of the 4x400m and 4x800m relay teams. She and her teammates set a new AUS record in the 4x800m race.
The Tigers team captured the 2017 AUS track and field championship banner—their 28th consecutive title in the sport.

Year of eligibility: Third
Academic program: Electrical Engineering
Alain Doucet of the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus men’s track and field team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Feb. 26, 2017.
A third-year electrical engineering student from Dieppe, N.B., Doucet was named the Subway Athlete of the Meet at the Subway AUS Track and Field Championships hosted this past weekend but the Université de Moncton.
Doucet earned two gold medals at the meet—in the pole vault and the heptathlon. He set a new AUS record in the pole vault of 4.11m and he qualified for the U Sports Championships in the heptathlon.
