The first-year swimmer from Mount Pearl, NL took an eraser to the AUS record book this past weekend at the Kemp Fry Invitational, hosted by Dalhousie University.

He kicked things off Friday night by setting a new AUS mark in the 50m butterfly with a time of 23.69, besting the record of 23.99 set by Acadia’s Shane Kenny back in 2021. The record did not last, as Weeks toppled his newfound benchmark just two days later with an even faster time of 23.64.

Weeks also set a new AUS record in the 50m freestyle when his Saturday time of 22.52 eclipsed the old mark of 22.57 set in 2019 by Brett Liem (Acadia); and in the 100m freestyle on Sunday with a time of 48.62 to surpass Noah Mascoll-Gomes’s (Dalhousie) time of 49.50 set just last season.
