Huskies hand Tigers first loss of season

With just one week remaining in the AUS women's volleyball regular season, the Saint Mary's Huskies handed the Dalhousie Tigers their first loss of the season. The Huskies played to a 3-1 victory, with Renee Cleveland being named the Subway Player of the Game in the win for the Huskies.

Saint Mary's then went on to blank the Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleues 3-0 on Sunday afternoon. The Huskies have now won their last six straight to give them 22 points in the standings.

The Tigers bounced back on Saturday, as they topped the Acadia Axewomen 3-1. Mieke DuMont led the Tigers in her final home game with 17 kills and 14 digs, while Courtney Baker was named the Subway Player of the Game with 40 assists and 18 digs.

The UNB Reds hosted the Memorial Sea-Hawks in back-to-back games this weekend, with six points on the line. The Reds blanked the Sea-Hawks 3-0 on Saturday to earn four-points, then extended their win streak to three with another 3-0 win over the Sea-Hawks on Sunday afternoon.
