The Dalhousie Tigers now sit just a point behind first in the AUS women's soccer standings as they earned their third-straight victory in Week 5 of the regular season.

The Tigers topped the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues 6-0 Friday night at Wickwire Field in Halifax. Dalhousie got off to a quick start as second-year midfielder Megan Chiasson opened the scoring in the first minute of play, which was quickly followed up with another Dalhousie goal from first-year striker Elise Evans, her third goal of the season. The Tigers managed to score again before halftime as third-year striker Kaitlyn Woodworth found the back of the net. Dalhousie netted another three goals in the second half coming from first-year striker Jordan Mansfield, followed by second-year midfielder Inari Moore, and third-year striker Chloe Richardson who also had an assist in the game.

The StFX X-Women scored three unanswered second-half goals Thursday night, handing the Cape Breton Capers their first loss of the season. Abby Steen, Caitlin Crichton and Hailey Burk all found the back of the net in the victory, while Amelia Carlini scored the lone goal for Cape Breton in the loss.

Despite the loss on Thursday, the Capers bounced back Saturday afternoon, just edging the Mount Allison Mounties 1-0 in Sackville. After a scoreless first half, Caper Paige Allaby found the back of the net at the 82:54 mark to allow Cape Breton to walk away with the victory. Haley Kardas made two saves in net for Cape Breton to earn the shutout victory.

The Acadia Axewomen earned 4 points this weekend, first playing to a 7-1 victory over the UPEI Panthers Thursday evening. Abigail Aucoin (Dartmouth, N.S.) was named the AUS Subway Player of the Game for her goal and assist performance against the Panthers. Other Axewomen goals came from Grace Somers, Madyson Harris, Grace Longley, Alli Kelly (2) and Lauren Jodrey.

The Axewomen then traveled to Fredericton Saturday to face the UNB Reds, where they played to a 2-2 draw. Aurora and Allie Hughes-Goyette scored late goals to lift the Reds from a 2-0 deficit to earn the tie. The Axewomen built their 2-0 lead on the strong play of Jayden Boudreau.

The Reds split their games this weekend, topping the Mount Allison Mounties 5-1 Friday. Second-year striker Jillian Larose scored three times for the hattrick to lead the Reds to victory, while Alexandra Hughes-Goy found the back of the net twice in the win. Isabelle Hebert-Sene scored the lone goal for Mount Allison in the loss.

The Saint Mary's Huskies blanked the Aigles Bleues 4-0 Saturday afternoon. Julia Dorey, Julia Pasma, Talia South and Anna Pancura all recorded tallies in the win for the Huskies, while Grace Morrison make three saves in net for Saint Mary's to earn the shutout.
