In the final weekend of AUS men's soccer action, the Cape Breton Capers finished the season undefeated with a 10-0-2 record to finish atop the standings and clinch a first-round bye in the playoffs.

The Capers edged the UNB Reds 2-1 Thursday night in Sydney. Kairo Coore and Jakub Parizek found the back of the net for Cape Breton in the win, while Keji Adeniyi scored the lone goal for UNB. Cape Breton goaltender Daniel Clarke made an impressive 10 saves on the night, earning Subway Player of the Game honours.

They then went on defeat the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus 3-1 Friday night. Cape Breton tallies came from Cian Lynch, Jakub Parizek and Kairo Coore, while Dave Guichard recorded Moncton's lone goal in the match.

The StFX X-Men also clinched a first-round bye in the playoffs, finishing with a 7-3-2 record on the season.

Thursday night, the X-Men played to a 2-2 draw with the Aigles Bleus in Antigonish. StFX goals came from Logan Rieck and Kyle Cordeiro, while Jonathan Kisse and Mohamed Lamine Toure got on the board for the visitors. Aigles Blues midfielder Lionel Feval earned player of the game honours for his squad, while Cordeiro took home Subway player of the game recognition for the X-Men.

StFX then closed out regular season play with an exciting 1-0 victory over the UNB Reds Friday night at StFX Stadium. Logan Rieck's goal in the 43rd minute was all the home team needed to hang onto the win. Although both teams finished with the same record, the win over the Reds allowed the X-Men to secure the first-round bye based on wins in head-to-head play.

The Saint Mary's Huskies also secured a playoff spot, finishing the season by scoring two goals in the final eight minutes of regulation to play to a 2-2 draw against the Memorial Sea-Hawks. Goals in the match came from Memorial's Jacob Grant and Gabriel Araujo, while Callum Corkum and Ahmed Ibrahim found the back of the net for Saint Mary's.

The Dalhousie Tigers nabbed the final playoff spot, as they finished the season with a 2-1 win over the UPEI Panthers. Mohammed Jaber and Suliman Elomrani recorded tallies for Dalhousie, while Jake Tweel scored the lone goal for UPEI in the loss.

The Panthers split their games this week, as hosted the Mount Allison Mounties Wednesday, earning a 3-0 win in Charlottetown. Goals in the win came from Jacob Tweel, William Wilton and Kasper Lasia, while Isaac Wolters made two saves for the shutout.

Friday night, the Acadia Axemen blanked the Mounties 3-0 in Sackville. Liam Kelly, Michael Johann Osorio and Adrian Deveau recorded goals in the win for Acadia.
