X-Men Remain Undefeated in Men's Hockey Action

With just three games on the docket this week, the StFX X-Men earned their third victory of the season to remain undefeated.

The X-Men hosted the Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleus Saturday evening, earning a 6-1 win. The X-Men were led by Matt Needham who scored a hat trick, and linemate Jeremiah Addison who had four assists on the night. Other X-Men goals of the night came from Bryson Cianfrone (PP), Adam Holwell (SH) and Regan Spears. Robbie Graham got on the board for the lone Moncton goal of the night.

The Acadia Axemen and Saint Mary's Huskies both sit at 2-1 on the season after both earning weekend victories. 

The Axemen visited the Dalhousie Tigers in Halifax Friday evening, where they edged the home team 2-1. Maurizio Colella was named the Subway Player of the Game for his goal-scoring effort in the Axemen victory, with teammate Mason McCarty also getting on the board for Acadia. Jonathan Cyr scored the lone goal for the Tigers with a power play tally, while Tigers goaltender Reilly Pickard made a huge 45 saves in the loss.

The Tigers then went on to face the cross-town rivals, the Huskies, in an exciting homecoming game. The Huskies walked away with a 4-3 victory, with Anthony Repaci being named Subway Player of the Game for his two goal effort. Other Saint Mary's tallies came from Sam King and Bronson Beaton (PP), while goals from Dalhousie came from Brett Crossley, Connor Welsh (PP) and Campbell Pickard (SH).
