2025-26 AUS basketball schedule announced

(HALIFAX, N.S.) Atlantic University Sport is pleased to announce the complete schedule for the 2025-26 women's and men's basketball seasons.

All of the 2025-26 AUS winter sport schedules were released this week—including women's volleyball, curling, swimming, track and field, hockey and basketball.

Women's and men's basketball

The 2025-56 AUS basketball season is set to begin on Wednesday, Oct. 22, when the Dalhousie Tigers play host to the Acadia Axewomen in Halifax at 6 p.m. AT The men's matchup between the Tigers and Axemen will follow at 8 p.m. AT.

The reigning AUS women's basketball champion Saint Mary's Huskies will open their season at home on Friday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. AT, when they will play host to the Cape Breton CAPERS.

The defending AUS men's basketball champion UPEI Panthers will open their season on the road with a pair of games set for Friday, Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. AT and Saturday, Oct. 25 at 4 p.m. AT in Fredericton, N.B. against the UNB REDS.

UPEI fans will have the opportunity to watch the Panthers raise their championship banner at their home opener set for Friday, Oct. 31 at 8 p.m. in Charlottetown, P.E.I. when they host the Saint Mary's Huskies.

The fall portion of the schedule wraps up on Saturday, Nov. 29, with teams returning to the hardwood for the second half on Friday, Jan. 9. Regular season play finishes on Saturday, Feb. 14.

The 2026 Bell AUS Basketball Championships return to Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, N.S. Feb. 20 to 22, with the top six women's teams and the top six men's teams competing for the conference titles.   

The 2026 U SPORTS Women's Basketball Championship will be hosted by Université Laval in Quebec City, Que. March 5-8, while the men's championship will be held at the University of Calgary March 6 to 8.
