Offensive Player of the Week
Name: Cody Barton

Mount Allison receiver Cody Barton is the AUS offensive player of the week for the week ending November 6, 2022.

A fourth-year commerce student from Lower Coverdale, New Brunswick, Barton was named the Subway player of the game in the Mounties’ thrilling 15-13 semi-final win over the Bishop’s Gaiters on Saturday.

He tallied nine receptions for 93 yards, one receiving touchdown and one receiving two-point conversion for Mount Allison in the win.

Saturday’s victory earns the Mounties a spot in the 2022 Subway AUS Loney Bowl, hosted by the undefeated STFX X-Men in Antigonish on Saturday, November 12 at 2pm. Stream it live on AUStv.ca.

Mount Allison Mounties defensive back Vincenzo Frangione is the AUS defensive player of the week for the week ending November 6, 2022.

A third-year psychology student from Ottawa, Ontario, Frangione was a leader in the Mounties’ defensive battle against the Bishop’s Gaiters on Saturday in Lennoxville. His nine solo tackles and three assisted tackles helped Mount Allison come out on top of the AUS semi-final, 15-12.

Frangione and the Mounties head to Antigonish for the 2022 Subway AUS Loney Bowl this Saturday, where they’ll face STFX at 2pm. This is the Mounties first championship final appearance since 2016.

Name: Graeme Maither
University: Mount Allison University
Position: Kicker
Hometown: Hinchinbrooke, Quebec
Year of eligibility: First
Academic program: Bachelor of Commerce
Height and weight: 6’1”, 170lbs

Mount Allison kicker Graeme Maither is the AUS Special Teams player of the week for the week ending November 6, 2022.

A first-year commerce student from Hinchinbrooke, Quebec, Maither was a key contributor in Mount Allison’s stunning 15-12 semi-final win over the Bishop’s Gaiters on Saturday. The rookie kicker averaged 42.2 yards av on 10 punts, with three inside the 20, and booted one field goal for the Mounties.

With their semi-final victory, the Mounties are now headed to the 2022 Subway AUS Loney Bowl, their first appearance since 2016. The championship match-up is slated for 2pm on Saturday, November 12.
