Week 11 AUS Football Players of the Week: Aubry, Moussenguet and Walker honoured

(HALIFAX, N.S.) Quarterback Charles Aubry, linebacker Louve Moussenguet and receiver/returner Nathan Walker, all from the Bishop's Gaiters, have been selected as the Week 11 AUS football players of the week for their respective performances this past weekend.

Academic program: Psychology
Height and weight: 6'0", 165 lbs

Bishop's Gaiters quarterback Charles Aubry is the Atlantic University Sport football offensive player of the week for the week ending Nov. 3, 2019.

A psychology student from Laval, Que., Aubry had 21 completions on 28 attempts for 213 yards and two touchdowns in the Gaiters' 28-18 playoff semifinal win over the Mount Allison Mounties Saturday in Lennoxville, Que.

He also collected 34 rushing yards on four carries and was named Subway Player of the Game for his efforts. With the win, the Gaiters have advanced to face the undefeated Acadia Axemen in the Subway AUS Loney Bowl, presented by Keep It Social, set for Saturday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. AST in Wolfville, N.S.

Bishop's Gaiters linebacker Louve Moussenguet has been named the AUS football defensive player of the week.

A third-year business student from St. Jerome, Que., Moussenguet recorded two tackles for losses, included a sack, in the Gaiters' win over the Mounties in the AUS semifinal this past Saturday in Lennoxville, Que.

He recorded three solo tackles in the win. Moussenguet led the Atlantic conference in the regular season in sacks (5.5) and finished tied for first in tackles for losses (8.5).

Position: Receiver/Returner
Hometown: Brampton, Ont.
Year of eligibility: Fourth
Academic program: BBA
Height and weight: 5'9", 178 lbs

Bishop's Gaiters receiver/returner Nathan Walker is the AUS football special teams player of the week for the week ending Nov. 3, 2019.

A fourth-year business student from Brampton, Ont., Walker had 257 all-purpose yards in Saturday's playoff semifinal win over the Mount Allison Mounties. This included seven punt returns for 93 yards and four kick returns for 71 yards.

He also added six receptions for 60 yards and seven rushes for 33 yards in the win which marked Bishop's first victory in the postseason since 1994.
