Huntley scores in loss to Moncton

The Aigles Bleus won their third game of the AUS season against the Dalhousie Tigers 4-1 on Friday night in Moncton.

It was Aigles Bleus defenceman Jacob Dion (Sherbrooke, QC) who opened the scoring in the first period, assisted by Mika Cyr (Sainte-Anne, NB).

Moncton doubled their lead less than a minute into the second period. This time it was Cyr finding the back of the net off a Jeremy Michel (Levis, QC) assist. The Tigers cut the Aigles Bleus lead only seven minutes later when second year defenceman Christian Huntley (Halifax, NS) found the back of the net. Campbell Pickard (Halifax, NS) chipped in with the helper.

The third period saw the Aigles Bleus find the back of the net two more times thanks to goals from Olivier-Luc Hache (Savoie Landing, NB) and Thomas Pelletier (Quebec, QC) in the last minutes of the third period.

Aigles Bleus goalie Étienne Montpetit (Valleyfield, QC) was able to block 24 of the shots he faced, while Connor Hicks stopped 30 shots for the Tigers. Neither team could get their power play going, both going zero for four.

Mika Cyr was named the Subway Player of the Game for his three-point outing.

The Aigles Bleus will face the StFX University X-men on Saturday, October 22, at 4 p.m. at Aréna J.-Louise Lévesque. The Tigers continue their New Brunswick roadtrip on Saturday, facing the UNB Reds at 7pm.
