Huskies too much to handle for Mounties
Final | 1 | 2 | T |

Mount Allison (0-4-0, 0-4-0) | 0 | 0 | 0 |
(SACKVILLE, NB) In the fourth and final soccer game of the weekend hosted at Alumni Field the Saint Mary's Huskies proved too much to handle for the Mounties as they won 4-0.
A miscommunication between the Mounties' backline saw the Huskies jump out to a very early lead as Sean Freeman (Halifax, NS) pounced on the mistake.
Mount Allison settled into the game despite the blunder and established some possession for the better part of the 1st half but were not able to find an equalizer. Both teams were unafraid to play physical and the head referee was subsequently kept busy all afternoon.
The Huskies would take control of the game in the 2nd half with their experienced midfield and pile on the goals. Striker Ahmed Ibrahim (Halifax, NS) had an immediate impact after being subbed on and produced a goal and an assist on Cian Tousignant-Osiadhail's (Timberlea, NS) marker. Neil Spires (Hubley, NS) cemented the win with an absolute rocket from 35 yards out that found the top right corner.
Subway Player of the Game was fifth-year veteran midfielder Cian Tousignant-Osiadhail (Timberlea, NS).
Next up for the Mounties (0-4-0) is Acadia during Homecoming weekend on September 23 at 7:15 p.m.
The Huskies (3-1-0) for their part will next see action as they host Memorial on September 25 at 3:15 p.m.
