Vukosa pots two goals as X-Women beat Moncton

Moncton, NS – The STFX X-Women (5-1-1) defeated the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (1-7-0) by a 4-2 margin Sunday afternoon in AUS action.

The first period was dominated by the X-Women who scored three goals. The first came at 3:50 by Lauren Dabrowski, then forward Chloe Vukosa scored two goals at the 6:18 and 16:19 minute marks.

During the second period, the X-Women scored their fourth goal thanks to Maggy Burbidge at 11:27.

The Aigles Bleues managed to score just one second before the end of the second period, off the stick of Shani Rossignol.

Just over a minute into the third period, the Bleu et Or scored their second goal of the game thanks to Cassandra Call.

Aigles goaltender Audrey Berthiaume managed to stop 27 out of 31 shots sent in her direction. As for X-Women goaltender Jamie Johnson, she blocked 19 of 21 shots.

Chloe Vukosa was named the Subway Player of the Game.

The next game for the Aigles Bleues will take place on Wednesday, November 2 at 7 p.m., at Aréna J-Louis Lévesque, against Mount Allison.

As for the X-Women, they will play on Wednesday, November 2 at 7 p.m., against Saint Mary's in Halifax.
