The UdeM Aigles Bleus defeated the Mount Allison Mounties 4-1 at Alumni Field in AUS men's soccer action on Wednesday night.
The game remained scoreless until the 37th minute when Philippe Gallant found the back of the net to give Moncton a 1-0 lead. The Mounties answered in the 45th minute when Tevin Lewis scored to knot the score at 1-1. For Lewis, this was his 2nd goal in as many games.
Moncton regained the lead when Philippe Gallant scored his 2nd of the night and then the lead was extended to 3-1 when Jeremie Imbeault scored in the 55th minute. Younesse Chibane rounded out the scoring with a marker in the 80th minute to give Moncton a 4-1 lead.
With the win Moncton (3-3-1) sits in a tie for 6th place in the AUS standings.
The Mounties will now take Thanksgiving weekend off before returning to action on Saturday, October 16thwhen they host UPEI at Alumni Field. Moncton will see their next action on Saturday, October 16th when they host Saint Mary's.
