Chiasson scores two in Tigers win

The Dalhousie Tigers put five past the Aigles Bleues to extend their win streak to 5 wins in a row on Sunday.

Midfielder Megan Chiasson (Lower Sackville, NS) open the flood gates in the first minute of action. Two Tigers rookies, Paris Axam (Ottawa, ON) and Olivia Jack (Stillwater Lake, NS) quickly increased their lead with their first AUS goals.

The last goal of the half saw Chiasson find the back of the net for the second time of the game.

The Tigers continued their offensive output in the second half. Moncton's goalkeeper Chelsea Burnham was able to hold off the Tigers for the first part of the half, until Taylor Heard found the back of the net in the 67th minute. Burnham ended the game with 13 saves.

Annabel Gravely (Toronto, ON) made her return to the field after an injury earlier this season. Gravely earned her fourth shutout of the season, facing only three shots in the game.

Jack was named the Subway Player of the Game for her goal and strong midfield play.

The Tigers hit the road again next weekend, this time heading to Antigonish to play STFX on Friday at 5pm. Moncton host Acadia on Friday at 5pm.
