Soccer Axewomen improve to 3-0 with 2-0 win over Moncton

MONCTON, N.B. - Two goals scored in the second half allowed the Acadia University Axewomen (3 and 0) to shutout the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (0 and 3) 2-0 on Saturday in an Atlantic University Sport women's soccer game at Stade Croix Bleue Medavie Stadium on the Moncton campus.

Jayden Boudreau in the 47th minute of play and Abigail Aucoin in the 83rd found the back of the net for the visitors who struggled to penetrate the Blue and Gold defense in the first half. The second was dominated by the Axewomen with 11 of the 15 shots on goal of the game compared to 3 kicks for the Aigles Bleues. Goalkeeper Chelsea Burnham made 7 saves to Acadia's Swiler Boyd's 4.
