(Moncton) - Cape Breton University Capers were in Moncton on Sunday at the Stade Croix Bleue Medavie and left with two wins over Université de Moncton Aigles in Atlantic University Sport soccer action.
In the men's game, the Capers were able to score twice in the second half to solidify their lead and blank the Aigles 3-0. Euan Bauld scored twice for the visitors while Owen Sheppard had the third in a very closely battled game. Cape Breton did have 10 (5-5) corner kicks to Moncton's, 5 (3-2). Moncton led in shots on goal with 21 (14-7) without scoring against the 14 (7-7) for the visitors. Jordan Watkins earned the clean sheet.
CBU returns home next weekend to host Memorial on Saturday and Acadia on Sunday, both games start at 3.15 pm.
