ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY SPORT: COVID-19 INFORMATION & UPDATES

(HALIFAX, N.S.) Atlantic University Sport continues to monitor COVID-19 developments locally, regionally and nationally and take a proactive approach to managing this significant public health issue.

The health and wellness of our student-athletes, university sport fans, partners, administrators and other stakeholders is paramount.

Through our Athlete Health, Wellness and Safety Committee (co-chaired by Dr. Sonja McVeigh and Dr. David Cudmore), AUS continues to be in direct contact with the Chief Medical Officer of Nova Scotia.

We are working closely with our 11 member institutions through continued communications with our board of directors and management council. We also continue to work closely with the U SPORTS national office, as well as the other three regional conference offices to assess possible implications on the upcoming season.

As a response to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, the U SPORTS board of directors has issued a moratorium on all in-person recruiting, which remains in place. Details can be found here.

This page will continue to be updated with relevant information as it becomes available.
