Riley Donovan of the Dalhousie Tigers women’s soccer team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 26, 2021.

A third-year student from Toronto, Ontario, Donovan scored four goals on Saturday afternoon, leading the Tigers to a 7-0 home-field victory against the Moncton Aigles Bleues. She was also named the Subway Player of the Game following the match.

With five goals and one assist to her name so far this season, Donovan now leads the AUS in both goals and points.

Donovan is just the sixth AUS women’s soccer player to register four goals in a regular-season game since 2000, and the first Tiger to accomplish the feat.

Kairo Coore of the USPORTS #3 ranked Cape Breton University Capers men’s soccer team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 26, 2021.

A second-year forward from Whitby, Ontario, Coore lead the Capers to a home win against the Acadia Axemen on Sunday afternoon, scoring four goals in the decisive 5-0 victory. This impressive offensive performance earned him Subway Player of the Game honours following the match. Coore also registered a pair of shots in a tightly-contested 0-0 tie with the Memorial Sea-Hawks on Saturday.

Coore’s four goals in a single game matched the school record set in the 2011 season by former Capers star Keishen Bean.

Sarah Charnock of the U SPORTS No. 7-ranked Acadia Axewomen soccer team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 22, 2019.

A fifth-year keeper from Newmarket, Ont., Charnock backstopped the Axewomen to two weekend wins over the Dalhousie Tigers and the U SPORTS No. 2-ranked Cape Breton Capers.

Acadia earned a 1-0 win over the Tigers Friday night in Wolfville, N.S. Charnock had two saves in the win.

She made another four saves Sunday as the Axewomen topped the two-time defending AUS champion Capers 2-1.  She was named Subway Player of the Game for her efforts.

Tane Caubo of the StFX X-Men soccer team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 22, 2019.

A fourth-year arts student from London, England, Caubo had eight points in two games this weekend for the X-Men.

In StFX’s 6-1 win over the Mount Allison Mounties Saturday in Sackville, N.B., he scored a hat trick, including the game-winning goal. He was named Subway Player of the Game for his efforts.

Sunday in Fredericton, N.B., the X-Men tied the U SPORTS No. 8-ranked UNB Reds 3-3. Caubo had two goals and an assist in the draw.
