Jenna Boudreau of the Acadia Axewomen soccer team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 15, 2019.
A fifth-year striker from Halifax, N.S., Boudreau was named Subway Player of the Game in Acadia’s 2-0 win over the UPEI Panthers Friday in Charlottetown, P.E.I. after providing the assist on the game-winning goal and scoring an insurance goal herself.
In Sunday’s 5-0 Acadia victory over the Saint Mary’s Huskies in Wolfville, N.S., Boudreau scored the game-winning goal and assisted on the Axewomen’s third goal of the game.
She currently leads the AUS (and sits tied for third nationally) in points with seven (three goals and four assists) on the season.

Alex Black from the Saint Mary’s Huskies men’s soccer team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 15, 2019.
A fourth-year forward from Halifax, N.S., Black scored both Huskies goals in Saint Mary’s 2-0 win over the Mount Allison Mounties Saturday in Halifax, N.S. He was named Subway Player of the Game for his efforts.
He then went on to score the game-winning goal in Sunday’s 3-1 win over the Acadia Axemen in Wolfville, N.S.
He currently leads the AUS conference and sits tied for second in U SPORTS in goals with five on the season.
